Elijah Project: Day 5

Alright guys, we're actually doubling up today, so put your praying hats on. 

All of the following information comes from Operation World by Jason Mandryke and is in no way my own work.

Country: American Samoa

American Samoa is a small country that thrives on the catching and canning of Tuna.

The average income is roughly $9,000, and with hurricane’s and the remoteness of the country, it’s hard to expand economic growth. 

What to pray for: 

1) A rise of the occult

 ·  While there is freedom of religion and there is a growth of cults, many of them actually happening from within churches, especially Mormon. Pray against this rise and for 

sincerity within churches.

What the Lord put on my heart:

As I was praying I just felt like the rise of these cults was something that was really breaking God’s heart. And I know that every child lost breaks God’s heart, but I really felt like it was more than that. Like He was very saddened by it. Like he’s a Father watching his children be manipulated and taken away.

So Father I just wanna pray right now against a spirit of confusion that the enemy might be trying to use against your church. And I bring against the devil’s, tactics especially that of boredom. Father I pray for a spark of renewal to come within the church in American Samoa. That you would generate a revival among the churches to where they aren’t doing the same old thing every day and preaching the same old sermons to the point where it all feels the same and they get bored. I pray that you would just refresh them in hearing your voice and listening to you daily. That they would be challenged in their walks with you and that this passion and fire would spread. And Father I pray that they would want this. That it would be something that they seek out for themselves.

 I just really pray against the enemy's tactics as he is trying to go in a steal, kill and destroy your children. God I know you want to protect them, so I just pray for angels over them to guard against their minds, That they would have clarity through your scripture and through the Holy Spirit. That they would know what is you, step by step each day, and what is the voice of the enemy trying to draw them away.

Country: Andorra

A small country in the heart of the mountains bordering Spain and France.

(It’s kind of just smooshed there between them.)

What to pray for:

1) A Hold of Materialism

·  The country is a port for duty-free sales and therefore draws many rich, business style financiers. It has become based on material objects and riches. It is actually a very wealthy country with most of the economy based on tourism

2) Backburner Faith

· While most of the country claims to be catholic, there are few who truly seek God with their lives. Many are becoming more and more superstitious, inviting seers and fortune tellers to speak into their lives. Once again, pray against the power of the occult and for a biblical foundation for living.

What was put on my heart:

 Father I pray that they would learn to let go of the things they are holding on to. The power that that have to bring in their own money and the longing to have more and more of it. I pray for a humbling of the people as well as the church of Andorra. I pray that as a country they will begin to see where the true value of life lies. That it’s not with how much money they can bring in or with what kind of shoes they have. But that they would see the value found in You. That they would invest their time in their family and friends. And that you would bring leaders of the church to pour into their people a Biblical foundation of values. That they would seek first the Kingdom and know what it looks like.
